Health WorldNet Launches Portal for Consumers and Medical Professionals
- Posted June 4th 2008
- by Marji
Health WorldNet Inc. has launched the HealthWorldNet.com web portal, a resource of health information for consumers and medical professionals. The portal covers 11 major categories which in part yield nearly 5,000 viewable pages with a database of more than 25,000 links. HealthWorldNet.com also provides resources and information on topics such as personalized health and medical tourism.
HealthWorldNet.com is certainly trying to appeal to a wide range of segments with this launch. Oftentimes, health information sites focus on either consumers or medical professionals–not both. The company’s goal is to reach both groups with a portal that promises to connect them with a wealth of relevant health-related content.
This could be an interesting proposition for advertisers who want to target consumers and medical professionals and prefer to consolidate their media buys. However, a big question will be how much traffic HealthWorldNet.com will be able to drive to the site to make this a viable option for advertisers. It may be a challenge, considering the number of healthcare information resources already available on the web.
