Castle Connolly Launches New Physician Website/Directory
- Posted November 3rd 2008
- by Marji
Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. has launched a new website, www.AmericasCosmeticDoctors.com, that contains the profiles of more than 5,000 screened physicians who provide cosmetic care. The physicians are screened and vetted by Castle Connolly’s physician-directed research team.
While the site is launching with the 5,000 profiles, Castle Connelly has plans to increase the number of listings very quickly. The company expects to add thousands more profiles within the next several months. Among those who will be added are dermatologists, plastic surgeons, otolaryngologists with training in facial plastic surgery and occuloplastic ophthalmologists. Consumers can access the directory free of charge, and qualified physicians can create free basic profiles. Physicians can also pay for enhanced profiles that contain photos, weblinks to their practice websites and lead generation tools that can connect them with prospective patients.
The launch of this new website/directory makes sense for Castle Connolly. It certainly fits well with the company’s other directories, such as America’s Top Doctors, and should really complement its America’s Cosmetic Doctors & Dentists database.
In addition, this new offering will position Castle to grow with an increased interest in plastic surgery procedures–the time does seem right for such a launch. In the press release announcing this launch, Castle cites the American Society of Plastic Surgeons’ statistics that spending on cosmetic plastic surgery increased 9 percent in 2007.
